the birthday bonanza begins...

yes, olivia is 4!! her birthday was sunday, but there had been some significant events leading up to her REAL birthday to get the "party started." so let's rewind about 2 weeks when birthday celebration #1 took place...

it was a rainy wednesday night and nana and gramps wanted to have a special night with o to kick off her birthday season (that is what is has turned into). my dad was going to be out of town on her actual birthday and my mom insisted that o needed her gift just a few weeks early to get the most out of it, so it was date! nana and gramps arrived and brought with them the gift...
yes, a PURPLE HELLO KITTY BIG GIRL BIKE!! as far as o is concerned it does not get any better than this!! olivia had been asking for a big girl bike for a couple of months and in true olivia fashion she had very specific requests- "a purple bike with a bell and a basket." nana and gramps are all about making olivia happy so after the purple bike was purchased nana had to run all over town to find a basket and bell. i think you can tell by the expression on o's face that she was SUPER excited!! but that was just the beginning of our evening of celebrating. after the presentation of the bike nana and gramps took us (mommy, daddy, and o) to her favorite restaurant, benihana for dinner. jack stayed home with gram lois so it was all about olivia!! it was a really fun night. when we got home it was still raining outside so o took a few rides around the house in and out of each room and finally parking her new bike in her room so she could look at while she feel asleep. the next morning she woke up and immediately asked if it was raining and if she could go and ride her new bike. mom dad i think she LOVES it!! what a great way to begin celebrating our precious little girl. it is so much fun to experience things through her eyes. i know that on this night she felt as special as she is, but my prayer is that she never forgets how wonderfully she was created and how special she is!!
stay tuned... there has been lots more celebrating miss o and her 4th birthday and her official party isn't until later this month!!
